Red Alert 3 Beta Launched!

I just received my RA3 Beta Test key in my email today! This is going to be so awesome, I will post up my first impressions of the beta as soon as I register a few hours of gameplay, so stay tuned…

Cheeky Little Girl @ Chasers Nightclub

Last night I ended up going to Chasers nightclub on Chapel st.  I wasn’t planning on going clubbing especially when I havn’t been to a club for over 3-4 months, and so when my friend bumped into me at Crown Casino and tried to convince me, I go what the heck? It’s been awhile, why not?

Needless to say, I got pretty drunk but not as much as my friends did, they got wasted bad.  Overall, it was a fun night and what especially made my night happened towards the end when these two cute chicks happen to dance right infront of me.. One of them, the cuter one went for grabs… LOL She not only grabbed my balls once.. but TWICE!  LOL…

Cheeky little girl… hehe.. If you wanted to get touchy-feely with me, all you need to do is ask… ^_- LOL

Dragon Age

Bioware has recently released a trailer of their upcoming game “Dragon Age” at E3 2008.  This pc game is one of the most anticipated games and from what we can tell from one of their other big rpg game Mass Effect, this will be MASSIVE.

Finally, a game as dark and mature as this will be coming out soon, essentially it’s made for adults.  Too many games out these days are geared more towards teenagers and kids, thank you Bioware for even trying to develop this game, definately a breath of fresh air.

APL Tournament Winner

Last night I went to one of the APL(Australian Poker League) tournaments hosted at the St. Albans hotel, the pokies/TAB venue next to the trainstation.  After a long absence from the APL league(it’s been likes 6 months the last time I’ve been to one of these events), I decided to go with a friend since there was nothing else better to do…

It started well, the first hand I got dealt I flopped 2 pairs and quickly built my chip stack up which let me to sit comfortably for the rest of the tournament.  3 hours later, I got to the final table with a reasonable sized stack but after a few rounds my stack grew smaller and smaller due to the rising blinds.  I had about 6,000 in chips and the blinds were about 5,000 and 10,000, so I had to go all in but luckily I won against 2 other players and so my chip stack grew back and eventually I was chip leader.

Finally, after about 4 hours and 80 players later I was crowned tournament winner and received qualification into next months regional finals where cash prizes and qualification into the state finals can be won(I think).

I was confident going into this event but I didn’t think I would win it, this is a testament to the many hours of poker I’ve been playing online and it shows I’ve definately improved from a year ago when I was a noob.  After that being said, it’s pub poker afterall, the players are mostly made up of beginners and amatuers so this win doesn’t truly reflect on my skills as a good poker player, to truly test myself, I must enter into bigger tournaments at crown which I have done in the past, making the final table in a 650 player tournament. 

What I didn’t realise was that the APL just started a new season and apparently I had won the first tournament of season at St.Albans hotel, which put me straight up to number 1 as the venue leader.  Now I must try and defend my number 1 spot…

Wanted 2008

I just finished watching the new movie Wanted and I must say it turned out to be much better than anticipated.  This is not a review, I just wanted to note that the movie has an awesome ending, definately one of the best endings I’ve seen in awhile…

I might write up a review of this movie and others I’ve seen recently including Kungfu Panda, Spiderwick Chronicles and some others..

Look what came in the mail today… I received a free copy of Ralph july issue from the Crown Poker membership.  Pretty awesome considering it came out of the blue

Iran vs Israel & America

I found a news article today on the current situation in the middle east with Iran and Israel, it looks like war is unavoidable at this point.  Recent comments from Iran suggests that preparations for war are well underway with their Shahab-3B missiles positioning to aim right for the nuclear heart of Israel.

If war breaks out than the apocalyptic end time prophecy scenario will gain more plausibility than ever before.  Many say the year 2012 will be the biggest year for end time prophecies and I will be looking out for the upcoming events leading up to 2012…

Back To School…

I’ve enrolled to Victoria University on Nicholson St, Footscray, to complete the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of IT.  Orientation day is on Friday July 11th at 10am, that’s in 2 weeks!  I havn’t been back in school for ages, I wonder what’s it going to be like…

I think these 2 courses will take at least a year and a half to complete and then after that I will sign up for the Bachelor Of Arts degree in multimedia.  I’d actually wanted to jump straight into multimedia but they wouldn’t let me before I finished the Diploma’s in IT(General), but I’m sure they will let me transfer after they see my artwork and what I could do…
